Our local New York City customers are seeing Docutron as more than just a copy center. While we continue to service copy customers, we are an emerging commercial printing firm with the speed of a quick copy center. Our balance is the efficiency and quickness of a copy shop, with the technology to produce a wide variety of print projects including business cards, brochures, blueprints and catalogs from digital files received via email and other media.
Presently, Docutron has a six-color HP Indigo that affords customers a quality digital printout with the speed and efficiency of a copy center, a Xerox Docutech 135 (a high speed copier), a Xerox Docutech Nuvera 120 (a high speed scanner), a Xerox Doc 12, and an extra-wide format Xerox 510 for blueprints and other oversized printouts. Docutron also has a full bindery.

With prepress to finishing capabilities all on-site, production is more efficient by eliminating time factor involved when using subcontractors. Because the job from beginning to end is being done in one place, we can print and mail the same day. With our drop point right here at the main Manhattan post office we are able to provide quick turnaround.
Docutron had been in existence for over 15 years servicing the financial industry, producing financial reports. Additionally, the company had been doing work for R.R. Donnelley.
In the pursuit of customer satisfaction and though small by competitive standards, Docutron and it’s sister company Creative Imaging operate as many hours as necessary to get a job done. One job, for instance, called for the printing of 4,500 catalogs over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend—sure enough, the items were produced, addressed, and mailed from Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon.
Docutron’s fast turnaround focus has led to a successful niche in business cards, which are printed, cut, boxed, and delivered on a next-morning schedule. The company also handles postcards, including products for modeling agencies. Additionally, it’s not uncommon for Docutron to get an emergency order for catalogs that need to be printed in less than 24 hours.
Docutron goes out of its way for its customers, overnight rushes, resending proofs again and again for complete certainty, and sending messengers repeatedly to make sure the customer is happy with their project.
